TUBMAN, Shirley (nee Manning)

September 6, 1933 – May 6, 2022

Passed away at Perley Health, Ottawa in her 89th year. Daughter of the late Cecil Aubrey Gwynne Manning and Kathleen Mary Keane. Shirley immigrated to Canada from England in 1959. Predeceased by her husband John “Howard” Tubman, she will be greatly missed by her loving daughters Janet (Duk), Sara (Kris), ​grandchildren Anika, Hugh, Sebastien, and Audrey, relatives and many friends. Shirley was a parishioner of Trinity Anglican Church and a member of the ACW. The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to the staff at Perley Health for their care and to the Home Instead companions for their special visits.  A memorial service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, 1230 Bank St., Ottawa, on Thursday, May 26th at 2pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Perley Health or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.  For Zoom options to view the service, please see below for the link and password.  Tributes, condolences and donations may be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com
