On Thursday, May 9, 2019. Ralph was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland. He studied physics at Memorial University, Dalhousie, and McGill and spent his entire career working for Atomic Energy of Canada (AECL) in Deep River, ON; Pinawa, MB; and Ottawa. Ralph was active in sports most of his life, enjoying swimming and skiing and playing tennis into his 80’s. When he wasn't participating in sports, he was a loyal fan watching from his armchair. He was a keen bridge player and after retiring he had more time for reading, another of his great pleasures. Ralph was a devoted and loving husband and father. He leaves behind his wife of 66 years Flora Marie (nee Skanes) four beloved children Linda, Ward, Anne Laws (husband Jim), Bo (Robert) and three lovely grandchildren Sarah Laws, Isaac and Eli Bercovitz Green.  Friends may visit at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes 3440 Richmond Rd., Nepean (between Bayshore and Baseline Rd.) on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 1 p.m. until time of Memorial Service in the chapel at 2 p.m.
