Memphis David MacMillan

On the evening of Friday, November 5th, 2021, at the age of 3, Memphis (“Boo Berry”) MacMillan, gained his angel wings. He went peacefully, in the arms of his mother Kayla Geraldi and father Shane MacMillan.  Though Memphis’ time with us was short, he left an imprint in every life he touched. The courage, strength and perseverance he demonstrated every day of his life was an inspiration and truly made us all better people, for having known him.   While Memphis loved all of his nurses and doctors that cared for him through every step of his journey, he was happiest when he was home with his family, watching Disney movies and cuddling for hours.

Memphis is survived by his parents, Kayla and Shane; his brothers Jaxson and Cole; his sister Hailey; his fur-brother Neil; his grandparents Cathy, Terry, Darlene, David, Lisa; his aunt Stephanie; his uncle Brandon; and his cousins, Presley and Lauren.

A celebration of Memphis’ life will be held  at Tubman Funeral Homes Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean, Ontario  (between Bayshore and Baseline Road) on Saturday November 20th at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Roger Neilson House or CHEO Foundation in Memphis’ name would be appreciated.

Anyone who has been touched by Memphis’ story or had the pleasure of knowing him, is welcome and those who are not able to attend in person, will be able to view a live stream of the service.

A heartfelt thank you to all of those who supported Memphis and our family throughout his life.  The family invites all those attending the memorial service to wear something purple in support of epilepsy awareness.
