Peacefully at her residence with family by her side, on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of Monty (also known as Robert). Loving mother of Janet Jackson (Steve), Sarah Poirier (Rob) and Catherine Newnham. Cherished grandmother of Darcy and Vanessa (Kyle). Dear sister of Rita Edwards and sister-in-law of Mattie Hopkins. Predeceased by her siblings John and Peter Hopkins and Eileen Hughes. She was a force to be reckoned with. A very special thanks to Becky and Jeannette for their devoted assistance over the past few years and to My Place Home Care, the staff at The Redwoods and the staff of Carefor for their exceptional care over the past several months. Friends may visit at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore and Baseline Road) on Monday, May 16, 2022, from 2 to 4 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Church Bells Corners, 3861 Old Richmond Road, Nepean on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the  Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
