Lynne Barnhouse

Lynne passed away Tuesday 8 September at the age of 83.

Daughter of the late Harry and Margaret Hubert, St Thomas, ON, she is survived by husband Pat: children Hillary (Steve), Tim (Rosalie) and Morgan (Domenic); grandchildren Brittany (Taylor), Drew (Sydney), Cassandra and Nathan; great grandchildren Olivia, Everly and Sawyer; brothers Joe and Tom and sister in law Maureen (late Fred).  Predeceased by brother Paul (Mary).

Lynne trained as an RN at St Joseph’s Hospital, London, ON and after marriage took time off to raise her three children. Once they were older she did a nursing update and became a geriatric nurse at the Queensway Carleton Hospital.

On retirement, Lynne danced with the Happy Tappers, sang with the Canadian Showtime Chorus and later Voices in Harmony, enjoyed years of square dancing and welcomed respite from winter on cruises and tropical vacations.  Whatever she did, it was with a sense of fun and humour.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 13th at Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond road, Ottawa from 2 - 6 pm followed by a service at Christ Church Cathedral on Monday, September 14th at 11 am.
