Lachance, Hilleard William Henry “Hank"

Passed away peacefully at home in Bell's Corners being cared for by his loving children on Monday August 12th at the age of 91. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 59 years Nora (nee Breen) and his youngest son Allan.  He will be forever missed by his children whom he cherished, Stephen (Joanne), Carolyn (Bernard Robinson), Doug (Marion), Louella (Peter Boffa), Lori (Carey Perrier) and his much loved and adored grandchildren Dennis (Jennifer), Cecile (Adam), Robyn (Sam), Chris (Sarah), Chantelle (Matt), Cheryl (Irwin), Mike (Marlys), Chris (Onalea), Andrea (Doug), Ben (Chelsea), Curtis (Kim), Elizabeth (Kyle), Lonna (Shayne), Jenna (Karen), Alana, Thomas and Jake. Delighted great grandfather to Evan, Amber, Dustin, Eric, Alyssa, Henry, Charlie, Jack, Ethan, Molly, Taylor, Kailey, Finley, Brynna, Jackson, Madeleine, Milo, Nevaeh, Emmett, Maya, Cooper and Ryker.  Sadly mourned by his sisters Lorraine Castonguay and Elva Lachance, his sister in laws Julie Belanger and Carol Lachance, Shirley Etmanskie, Raychel Rose, Vera Lapenskie (August), and brother in law Jimmy Breen (Sharon) and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may pay their respects at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean on Friday August 16th from 7-9pm and Saturday August 17th from 12:30-1:30 followed by his funeral service in the Chapel at 1:30.  Internment at Capital Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations are welcome to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute which saved his life many times.

He had a very successful career as a Construction Project Superintendant and leaves a legacy of buildings he built including Meadowvale Town Centre in Toronto, Cataraqui Town Centre in Kingston and Place d’Orleans in Ottawa, to name a few.

A life well lived. A man well loved. He was our valiant hero to the end and lived life to the fullest. He will live on forever in our hearts.
