Bennett, Harold Gordon
On Sunday March 15th, Harold Gordon Bennett, son of the late Joseph and Louise Bennett peacefully passed away at the age of 97. He died in the care of his loved ones, and with the love of his daughter Gail Zahradnitzky, granddaughter Kassi Unger, and two great grandson’s Gavin and Hudson Unger. Gordon was a loving husband to his late wife Margaret Bennett who predeceased him by 14 years. Gordon was an officer in the RAF and flew during WW2. He was a passionate horticulturalist, and took vigilant care of his gardens of which he was very proud. He will be fondly remembered for his strong sense of purpose, kindness and propriety, his love of dancing, and his stately dress and manner. Gordon was also a passionate advocate for animals and will be deeply missed by his loving cat Honey who was with him until the very end. It was Gordon’s wish to not have a funeral, but to be joined with the ashes of his late wife Margret. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the local SPCA.
