Suddenly at home on Thursday, November 21, 2019 age 92 years.  Beloved husband of Shirley (Brydges).  Dear father of John (Christina). Loving grandfather of James, Emily and Julia.  Brother of the late Peter (Esther Lowe),  Eva (late Karl) and Beat (Dorothea Hinderman).  Brother-in-law of Donald (Mona) Brydges and Earle (Linda) Brydges.  Predeceased by his parents Hans J. Appenzeller and Jenny Mumenthaler. He was also loved by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Switzerland.  Hans started his career in Canada with Northern Electric and remained there for 29 years.  He retired from Nortel as a highly regarded member of the International Communications Standards Committee.  He supported the Kiwanis and was a member since 1973.  Friends may attend a visitation at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd., Nepean on Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the Salvation Army.
