Elsie Cowell

Elsie Cowell died peacefully on May 14, 2022 at the age of 100. She was born July 4, 1921 in South March, Ontario to John and Edith (Kings) Shennan. Beloved wife of the late Walter E Cowell. Elsie is predeceased by her four sisters, Betty, Ruth, Edith , and Grace.

Elsie is survived by Dr. John Cowell the eldest son and his wife Monika (Schulte) ,Calgary Alberta, Malcolm Cowell and his wife Lucie Leclerc Cowell, Ottawa, Ontario and Richard Cowell and his wife  Candace Burtch Cowell, Ottawa, Ontario. Elsie has 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews across Canada.

She will be missed and fondly remembered for her love and devotion to her family.

A Graveside service will be held on September 17, 2022 at 11:30 am, St Johns Anglican Cemetery, 325 Sandhill Road, South March, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to a charity of personal choice are welcome and can be arranged through the Tubman Funeral Homes website at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com/Elsie-Cowell.

A Reception will follow at the Tubman Funeral Homes Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore and Baseline Road), Nepean from 12:30 - 2 pm.
