William Stanley Bond

The night sky will be shining brighter tonight.

On Monday, November 06, 2023, William Stanley Bond (81) passed away peacefully at home with his beloved partner, Beverley Mallet at his side. Billy will be fondly remembered by his friends, family and everyone who met him. He was filled with love and light and always had a story, quick witted one liners or a joke to share.

As a trusted painter through the family business of Bond’s Decor for more than 50 years, hundreds of families in the Ottawa area welcomed him into their homes.

A devoted family man, Billy was surrounded by family photos. He was happiest at the family cottage with his yellow speedboat nearby.

Billy, son of Ken & Phyllis Bond, was a loving father to Gary Bond (Wendy) and Steven Bond (Sue), like a stepfather to Susan Mallet and was a treasured Father-in-law to Debbie McKinley (Tom).

Billy's enduring love for his children was a testament to the unwavering bond between a father, his sons and his grandchildren. He took immense pride in watching them grow and succeed in life, and his legacy lives on through them.

Predeceased by his sister, Joy Mulvagh (Don), he was a dear brother to Danny Bond (Fran) and Peter Bond (Anne). Beloved Grandpa to Shane Bond (Chloe), Tristan Bond (Raymond), Nick Bond (Lorie) and Taylor Bond. Loving Uncle to Brian Mulvagh (Pam), Cathy Costello (Mike), Trudy Mulvagh-Fournier, Andy Bond, Jeffrey Bond (Dana), Tim Bond (Cindy) and Kristi Lassenba (Mark). As a son, brother, father, grandpa, uncle, great-uncle, neighbour and friend, Billy made a lasting impression on everyone he met and always left them smiling.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 1-3pm at the Tubman Funeral Home, Westboro Chapel, 403 Richmond Road Ottawa followed by a Celebration of Billy’s Life at 3pm.
