William Blaiklock

Blaiklock, William Musgrave (Bill), P.Eng.

October 9, 1937 – December 2, 2022

It is with profound sadness we announce that Bill Blaiklock passed away unexpectedly at Queensway Carleton Hospital with his family at his side. Active and independent until his final days, he was 85.

Born in Montreal, he was the husband of Anne (predeceased) and survived by his son Rick (Elizabeth Zuiani) and daughter Nancy Greenley. Grandfather to Melanie and Sydney Greenley and Katie (Jordan Battram) and Charlotte Blaiklock. Brother-in-law to Bob and Ellie Tilton.

Bill was a graduate of McGill University (Mech Eng, 1960) and had a successful career in the appliance, automotive and plastics industries. He was an Honorary Lifetime Member of the SME and recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the Association of Rotational Molders.

A passionate woodworker, his houses were filled with the results of his creative pursuits. His other passion was travel and his home was decorated with many photos of Anne and his family taken in far-off locales.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the new year.

In lieu of flowers, and in recognition of his late beloved wife Anne, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
