Wendy Jane Tozer (née Samson)
Affectionately called “Weena”, short for Edwina, by her husband. Born October 16, 1948, at the Grace Hospital, Ottawa. Died 04:00 am at St-Vincent Hospital, Ottawa on November 18, 2023. Devoted wife of Edward Wayne Tozer (Ted), daughter of Sidney Frank Samson and Lillian Maude Thomas. Sister of Ross Samson. Wendy was born at the Grace Hospital, Ottawa, Ontario to her mother Lillian Samson on October 16th, 1948. She grew up and lived her early adult life on the SW corner of Fraser and Byron with her parents and brother, Ross. She married Ted Tozer in 1985 and lived the remainder of her life at 723 Courteney Avenue. (In a house that she bought for CASH$$!). She worked her entire career on Booth St with EMR, Mies Branch. (High School Graduation to retirement). After retirement her life was devoted to improving the quality of her husband’s life, which he is enormously grateful for. Visitation will be held at Tubman Funeral Homes, Westboro Chapel, 403 Richmond Road, on Thursday November 23, 2023, from 10 am - 12 pm. Followed by funeral service at 12 pm. Reception to follow at 1 pm with the burial at Pinecrest Cemetery, Baseline Road, Ottawa at 2:30 pm.
