Trevor Boyd

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving father, grandfather, brother and friend, Trevor, in his 85th year, on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Trevor was a devoted father who always put his children first. He was their biggest supporter, always there with a helping hand, words of encouragement, or simply by their side when they needed him. His love for his family was at the centre of everything he did.

A farmer his entire life, Trevor’s love of farming ran deep. He was the fourth generation of the Boyd family to farm Glensview Farms, carrying on a family tradition and a way of life that meant so much to him. A graduate of Kemptville College, Class of 1963, Trevor spent his life doing what he loved, farming the land, caring for his animals and working with his tractors. He continued to farm until the age of 80, a true testament to how much farming meant to him. The farm was not simply his work; it was a way of life and a place where many wonderful family memories were made.

Trevor was the adored father of Susan (Craig), Stephen (Robyn) and Sandra.

He was a proud and loving grandfather to Samantha (Dalton), Justin, Brody, Meghan (Ben), Bailey (Kyle), Aidan and Paige, and a cherished great-grandfather to Bryce, Jack, Rue, Easton and Effie.

He was the dear brother of Ray (the late Judy Boyd), Audrey (the late Neil MacIntyre), Dwaine (Pat) and Don (Mellie).

Trevor will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews, the Gloucester Glen families, and his many dear friends. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories, stories, and the lasting example of a man who worked hard, loved deeply and always put his family first.

Trevor is now reunited with his beloved parents, Ken and Edith (Mann) Boyd.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Irvine Greenberg Centre, Manotick Retirement Community, and Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice for the compassion, kindness and loving care they provided to our Dad.

Our Dad was a hardworking man who loved the farm, but above all, he loved his family. He spent his life working the land he loved and making sure his children and grandchildren always knew they were supported and loved. He was there for us through every stage of our lives, and never asking for anything in return. We are so grateful for every lesson, every story, every laugh and every memory. We will miss him more than words can say, but we will carry him with us in everything we do.

Friends may attend a visitation at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars on Monday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 12 pm. Interment Johnston’s Corners Cemetery.

In recognition of our father’s memory, we respectfully request that in lieu of flowers, donations be directed to a charity of your choice or one that reflects his values and spirits.
