Theresa "Dianne" Murphy

It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dianne Murphy on Thursday July 4th 2024 at the age of 78. Her daughters were by her side when she passed at Garden Terrace long term care. Predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Thomas Murphy and her parents Joseph and Eileen (nee - Watt) Hammill. She leaves behind her daughters Susanne White (Ivan) and Janet Murphy and her siblings Mary Hammill, Mike Hammill (Sylvia). Cherished Aunt of 3 generations of nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by other family and friends. 

Dianne will be remembered as a kind and generous lady with an infectious smile. She was always up for a chat and made everyone she met feel loved and appreciated.

Our many thanks to the staff of the Queensway Carleton Hospital for their comforting care. We also would like to thank Dr. Stewart and the staff at the Garden Terrace, where she called home for the last 7 months, for their wonderful care. To the staff from Bayshore home care who attended to her needs for several years while she was able to live at home. A special thanks to Dr. Amanda Connell of WCFHT for being her medical advocate for many years. 

Visitation will be held at Tubman's Funeral Home Carp Chapel, 115 Rivington St. Carp, ON on Friday July 19th 2024 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Funeral service to take place at St. Isidore's Parish, 1135 March Road. Kanata, ON on Saturday July 20th 2024 at 10am. Internment and Reception to follow.
