Theodore Allen Carruthers

Born in Huntley Township on May 1, 1931

Ted passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Almonte General Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Helen (Porteous) and Georgina Carruthers.

Dear father of the late Cynthia, Rick and Allayne. Survived by his grandchildren Jenna McIntire, Serena McIntire, and Justin Slyk.

Dear brother to Gwen (late Lloyd) Falls, the late Patricia Carroll, George (Margaret) Carruthers, the late Stuart (Katherine) Carruthers, Carolyn (late Gerald) O’Malley, Lois (Guy) Tardiff, late Donald (Karen) Carruthers and David Carruthers. Ted was the beloved son of the late Sadler and Norma Carruthers.

Survived by his stepdaughter Sandy McGill, and granddaughter Kimberly Michalko.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grand nephews.

Special mention of nephew Brent Carruthers, who has been like a son to Ted with constant help and support for many years. Also, Jerry Flynn a nephew from his first wife Helen Porteous, mother of Cynthia, Rick, and Allayne. Jerry has also been a constant support to Ted during his long stay in hospital.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Huntley Presbyterian Cemetery, 3149 Carp Rd, Carp, ON K0A 1L0, on November 2, 2025 at 11 a.m.  A celebration of life will follow at the Carp Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 115 Rivington St, Carp from noon until 3 p.m.
