HAYWARD, Thelma May (née Bovington) 

Peacefully at the Queensway Carleton Hospital on May 30, 2024 in her 100th year. Predeceased by her loving husband George. Beloved mother of Jennifer (Rick Shepherd). Loving grandmother to Crystal (Carl Scissons), April (Peter De Sousa), and Elizabeth (Alexander Merkis). Also survived by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister Helen and her brothers Frank, George, Tom, and Jim. A big thank you to the wonderful staff at New Orchard Lodge for their kindness and care over the past few years. A celebration of life will take place Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 1 pm at Christ Church Bells Corners, 3861 Old Richmond Road, Nepean, ON. Reception to follow immediately in Foundation Hall. For those who wish, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ottawa Food Bank would be appreciated.
