Thea Klazina Vanderkuip

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Thea Klazina Vanderkuip (nee de Boer), who left this world peacefully on February 27, 2026, at the age of 97.

Born on January 17, 1929, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, she carried her values of kindness, resilience, and faith throughout her life. She married Fred Vanderkuip, and together they built a life centered on faith, tradition, and family.

She is survived by her children, Renee (Ralph Hewitt), Robert (Sylvia Vanderkuip), Julia (Richard MacNeill) & Garry, and grandchildren Daniel, Christopher, Anna, Ashley, and Justin. 

Being an Oma was one of her greatest joys. She treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren.

A private family service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Tubman Funeral Home, followed by the internment at Pinecrest Cemetery.

Thea’s family rejoices in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ and takes comfort in knowing she is at peace in His presence
