Bennett, Stewart Delmer

March 28, 1953 – June 28, 2022

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Stewart Delmer Bennett.  Stewart was born and raised on a farm in Foresters Falls, Ontario and continued his love of farming in Carp, where he worked for Doug Rivington for over 20 years, and then for Bruce and Matthew Munro.

Beloved husband and best friend of Mary (Lepine).  Son of the late Delmer and Norma (Gillan) Bennett. Proud father of Heidi, Corrine (Chris Hennessey), April (Todd Williams), Greg (Lisa Ross) and caring stepfather of John (Erin Genereaux), Mark (Sheila), and Patrick (Deborah) Lepine. Loving and spoiling Poppa of Arliss Bennett, Edwin and Gareth Williams, Caelin, Haley, Rebecca, Luke and Caleb Lepine. Brother of Judi (Frank Witt), Gwen Bennett (Lorne Nimmons), Harry Bennett (Lorie) and predeceased by sister Donna and brother-in-law Fernie Bucholtz. Brother-in-law of late John Poole (Miriam) and Norma (Hal Grainger). Loved and missed by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all the medical staff at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus and Dr. Chris Zadow at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital for their exceptional care.

Friends may visit at the Carp Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes 115 Rivington Street, Carp on Monday, July 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Woodlawn on Tuesday, July 12 at 11 a.m.
