June 11, 1933 – July 12, 2022

In hospital, on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the age of 89, surrounded by her family; she is now safe at home in Nyall’s arms.  Loving mother of Susan Maloney (Kevin), Cathy Gardner (Jim) and Julie Shaver (Tom).  Proud Grammie of Amanda, Patrick, Bradley, Julia, Emma and Kristen.  Cherished GG of Hudson, Emmerson, Aubrey, Nyall, Madden and Georgia.  Survived by her sibling Bud Myers (Judy) and Doreen Sparling (the late Norris).  Predeceased by her parents Winston and Rose Myers and her sister Marnie Burton (the late Dick).

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Waterside Retirement Residence and the staff and Dr’s at the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Ottawa (between Bayshore and Baseline Rd.) on Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 1 p.m. until time of service in the chapel at 3 p.m.  Reception to follow.  Interment to take place at St. John's Anglican Church Cemetery- South March at a later date.  For those unable to attend the service in person a live stream option will be available at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com/obitary/Shirley-Parks.
