After a long and courageous struggle with cancer, Shelley passed peacefully on Tuesday May 24, 2022.
She was incredibly loved by her family, friends and her dogs, Janey and Hoot. A special thanks to all the staff
at Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice for their loving care of Shelley in her last days.
Shelley graduated from Guelph University (1983) with a Master in Micro-Biology and a Master in Genetics.
She worked for more than 30 years at Canadian Blood Services. She was a champion horse rider before her interests moved to dogs.
She was a long-time OVPDC club member and a well-loved agility instructor and judge with both the CKC and the AAC. She was a highly respected dog trainer, judge, teacher and participant at agility events across the country. In her spare time, Shelley enjoyed getting away with close friends on outdoor adventures such as camping and fishing. In her quieter moments, she was stellar at puzzles, bird watching and needlework.
Shelley will be dearly missed by her many friends, colleagues and family members including her closest family: predeceased by her father Ray Murray, survived by family members Jean Anne, Shawna, Guenter, Dawn, Barry, Kylie and Sharron.
A Celebration of Life memorial will be given at the Carp Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes on
