Shelda Lynn Clarke Moncrieff

After a courageous battle with cancer Shelda passed away at the age of 64. She was surrounded by the love of her family and friends at The May Court Hospice on August 21, 2023. Predeceased by her loving Husband Bob Traer, her Parents Keith and Sylvia Clarke and great nephew Reed Souster. Lovingly remembered by her siblings Dana (Dena), Keith (Debbie), Robert (Shelly), John (Karen), Diane (David) and Graham as well her Aunts and Cousins. Shelda was a loving and proud Aunt and Great Aunt to her many Nieces and Nephews.

Special thanks to the Oncology Team, Dr. David Stewart who continued to look for treatment options; Dr. Tiberi, Home Care Nurses and the 4th floor nursing staff at the Irving Greeberg Family Cancer Centre. Further thanks is extended to the Staff and Volunteers at May Court Hospice where she attended and enjoyed their day program for the past year and received phenomenal end of life care.

Shelda made friends throughout her life and held onto those friendships dearly. She loved to help people whenever she could and was loved in return. Shelda’s greatest passion was to cook; she also enjoyed attending Theatre and spending time with her family and friends, including her newer friends she made at the May Court. She will be deeply missed by many. Shelda began her career with Bell Canada, moving onto a new challenge with Weekenders Clothing where she won numerous awards. She then became a dedicated and proud longtime employee of AMJ Campbell where she was considered part of the AMJ family.

According to Shelda’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt) on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 10 am followed by a service in the Chapel at 11:00.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the May Court Hospice.
