Serge Godin

On Wednesday December 29th at 3:20 am, Serge R. Godin, age 66 of Gatineau, QC peacefully passed in his sleep at La Maison Mathieu-Froment-Savoie.  He is survived by the love of his life, and partner of 22 years Johanne McDowell, and his circle of close loved ones. Serge was the beloved son of the late Robert and Gisele (Bertrand), brother of Anne Josee (Andrew Lambert) and Uncle to Maxime, Karine and Jonathan.

Serge was a true academic and had a thirst for always expanding his knowledge.  He was a world traveller and loved to spend his time vacationing with his Jojo, cooking, reading and enjoying life to the fullest. He will always be remembered for his calming presence, intelligence, class and his kind heart.

Thank you to the staff at La Maison Mathieu-Froment-Savoie for going above and beyond to ensure that Serge had the best quality of care and was treated with utmost compassion and dignity.

Respecting Serge’s wishes, a private service will be held on January 15th at the Tubman Funeral Home’s Garden Chapel. Interment Les Jardins du Souvenir, Gatineau, QC.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Serge’s memory to La Maison Mathieu-Froment-Savoie in Gatineau would be greatly appreciated.
