Sarah passed away peacefully overnight while on a respite stay at the Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre at 24 years of age. She is survived by her parents: Barbara-Anne Brown (nee Loop) and Mark Brown.
Sarah (aka Almira, Kittykatrocks, Kittykatrocks12) was a fan of anime, and YouTubers Markiplier, Dan and Phil. She was a reader, writer, artist, furry and brony. She graduated from Immaculata High School a year after her diagnosis of Mitochondrial disease in 2011.
We are thankful for the myriad of family, friends, teachers, doctors, nurses, Personal Support Workers, staff, volunteers and therapy dogs who loved and cared for Sarah.
Donations may be made to the CHEO Foundation or the Ottawa Hospital Foundation.
A reception will be held at our home on Sunday May 5, between 1:30pm and 4:00pm.
