Ruth King

Ruth King (née Gibson), died peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital and is now resting with Jesus Christ her Saviour.

Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husbands, Joseph King for 48 years and after his passing, Arthur Owen for six years. Ruth was predeceased by her dear son Stephen, nephew Mark, brother Paul and sisters-in-law Liz and Carolyn. Ruth is survived by her loving son John (Laurie), daughter Jane (Daniel), grandchildren Jennifer, Trevor, Elizabeth, Aaron, Stephen, Jacob and Laura, and great grandchildren Hailie, Willow and Wyatt. Ruth is held in love by her sister Elizabeth, nieces and nephews (Amanda, Jennifer, Greg, Jay, Candice, Carol, Cindy and families), cousins, friends, and Arthur's family.

Ruth was a devoted Christian and her steadfast faith was the cornerstone of her life. Her true joy in life was being with cherished family and friends.

The family would like to thank her care teams at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, Amica Westboro and Ontario Health atHome who supported Ruth with compassion and dignity.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean Ontario on Friday, May 22nd at 11 am. A reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
