Rowena Rogers

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of their mother, Rowena “Sally” Rogers (née Wood) on July 25th, 2025, age 86.

Born in Basingstoke, England, on June 1st, 1939, to the late Jack and Gwendoline Wood. Sally and Bill married in 1962, before moving to Canada in 1975 where they built a new home and future for their family.

Strong, independent, and adventurous right to the end, Sally will be warmly missed by her family: Helen (Mike), John, Alyssa (Sara), and Oliver, her sister Jill, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, husband Bill, and her sister Anne.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at the Red Oak Retirement Home in Kanata. An additional thanks to all of the health care professionals and support workers in all of the Ottawa hospitals and at home who worked with patience and kindness to help Sally over this past year, both in recovering from each stroke and improving her difficult experience as much as possible.

Friends and family are invited to Tubman Funeral Homes Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road between Bayshore and Baseline Rd.), Nepean,  to celebrate Sally’s life on Monday, July 28th, 2025, at 11:00am in the Chapel. Reception to follow.
