Mary Ann Rosalie Kealey

Mary Ann Rosalie Kealey, age 82, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, September 28, at her residence. Born on November 10, 1942, Rosalie was the first daughter and 8th child of 11 children of the late Vincent and Mildred's Kealey clan of Irving Street. A graduate of the class of 1959 of Immaculata High School, Rosalie embarked on a life of continuous learning, as a mother, a cook, an accountant, an avid reader, crossword puzzler, fan of her children’s and grandchildren’s sports of choice, and a stock market enthusiast. Rosalie never turned down an opportunity to go for long drives through the Ottawa valley, she was happiest in the company of family and friends.

Gentle and kind mother to Barry, Michael (Leslie), Kevin and Timothy Formuziewich. Proud Nana of Brayden, Larisa and Kaitlyn. Sister to Ann (Mike), Bernard, and Raymond (Joan). Predeceased by siblings Paul, David (Louise), Garry, John (Maureen), Maurice (Helen), Gerry and Elizabeth. Survived by sisters and brother-in-law Mary, Lorraine, Ida and Ron, her many nieces and nephews, and her life-long best friend June.

The family would also like to thank Tania Gravelle for her many years of friendship and care. The funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday October 4th at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Home 3440 Richmond Rd, Ottawa ON K2H 8H7 with burial to follow at the Capital Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada, in memory of Rosalie Kealey.
