Ron Saunders

1935-2022

Ron was granted his wings on July 2nd, 2022. Beloved husband of 64 years to Isobel (née Corrigan).

Ron was a water treatment specialist. He started his own company, ‘Ottawa Valley Salt Service’, in 1971. He ran a successful business for over 30 years and during that time it transitioned to ‘The Water Purifiner’. It continues to prosper by the second generation with his son Jeff. Referrals was his greatest gift.

Much loved Dad to Ruth-Anne Scissons (Bruce), Kelly Fontaine (Rob), Jeff Saunders (Kaysha). Special Grandpa to Ryan, Patrick, Tyler, and Melissa Scissons; Samantha Fontaine; Bradley, Jared, Kyra, and Kaydence Saunders. Proudest Great Grandpa to Raelynn (Ryan and Lisa); Mackenzie and Elizabeth (Ellie) (Patrick and Sarah).

Special Brother to Wanda Kerslake (Wayne), Norman (Esther), Bonnie Leonard (late Rene), Billy (Karen), Cindy Ferguson (Steve), John, Brent, Kim Holman (Geoff) and Shane.

Loved Brother-in-law to the Corrigan Family.

Uncle, Great, and Great Great Uncle to three generations of nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by special brother Jimmy (Gloria) and cherished niece Debbie Spaulding (nee Kerslake).

Beloved son of the late William (Bill) Saunders and Ruth Little and special Grandma Margaret Little (nee Owens).

Visitation will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (at Bayshore and Baseline) on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 1pm until time of service in the chapel at 3p.m. Reception to follow.
