Robert Joseph Edgar Weatherall

June 12, 1957 – August 26, 2026

Robert Joseph Edgar Weatherall, beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 69 on August 26, 2026, at the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice in Ottawa, Ontario.

Rob was born on June 12, 1957, in Steinbach, Manitoba, to William Edgar Weatherall (Ed) and Margaret Jean McLeod (Jean). Rob was a loving brother to his sisters Gloria Dixon, Ruth Evangelisti, Ardis Lee, Edith Johansen, and Gayla Weatherall. He was a devoted husband of 43 years to Katharine (Lee) Weatherall. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Gayla.

He is survived by his nine children: Joseph (Cara) Weatherall and their children, Ivor and Conrad; Andrew (Annette) Weatherall and their children, Jacob, Desmond, Aksel, Isla, Charlie, Thom, Keanu, Evalena, and Louisa; Elizabeth (Caleb) Henry and their children, Emma, Enoch, Colby, and Levi; Allan Weatherall; Ian Weatherall; Katy (Gershon) Weatherall and their daughter Margot; Kenneth Weatherall; Jeffrey Weatherall; and Lauren (Cosmin) Celea and their children Kai, Maven, and Milo.

Rob loved cars and machinery, and drove trucks for over 40 years before retiring, including long haul as well as local dump truck work. His children have fond memories of him coming home after being on the road for a week or more, making it fun and exciting for them. We are very thankful for his faithfulness and for his hard work to support the family over many years.

In his last years Rob expressed his desire to continue in the footsteps of Jesus and to grow in the virtues of Christ. Through the 9 years since his initial diagnosis with Lymphoma, those close to Rob experienced that he grew in thankfulness and contentment. We who loved Rob will dearly miss him, but we know we will meet him again.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 31 at 11:00 AM at Brunstad Christian Church Ottawa, located at 1981 Century Rd W, Ottawa, ON, followed by a graveside service at the Malakoff Cemetery. www.riverwoodgardens.ca
