Richard Clarence Lefebvre

With love, we announce the passing of Richard Clarence Lefebvre on November 10, 2025, at the age of 88. Richard will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the love he shared with family and friends throughout his life. He leaves behind his devoted partner of 15 years, Poppy Karamanou, his two sons, Anthony and Jeffrey Lefebvre, and his cherished siblings: Lorraine Jones (Lefebvre), Claire Lefebvre, and Ronald Lefebvre.

Richard was predeceased by his loving parents, Florence Lefebvre (née McKenzie) and Clarence Hugh Lefebvre.

Richard dedicated many years of service to the Federal Government, contributing to multiple departments. Outside of work, one of Richard’s greatest joys was his lifelong passion for hockey, a pastime that brought him happiness and connection with others.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Queensway Carleton Hospital for the comfort and care they provided to Richard in his final days. Their compassion made a difficult time more bearable.

In memory of Richard, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, a cause close to his heart. As per Richard’s wishes there will be no service. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
