Peter Igbonekwu Okeh

With gratitude to God for a life well spent, we announce the transition to glory of Professor Peter Igbonekwu Okeh. On Wednesday 18th October 2023, at age 86, he passed away in Ottawa, Canada, surrounded by family.

Known to many as “Papa”, he is lovingly remembered by his three children, their spouses, seven grandchildren, sister, nephews, nieces, extended family, and many friends.

Papa has left behind a legacy of love and perseverance. He will be remembered for his gentleness, his generosity, his unshakable faith and his commitment to family.

Visitation will be held on Friday November 10, 2023, at 7pm at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Ottawa between Bayshore and Baseline Road.

A funeral service and reception will take place at 9.30am, Saturday November 11, 2023, at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes 3440 Richmond Rd, Ottawa between Bayshore and Baseline Road, followed by interment at Pinecrest Remembrance Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C 3H9.
