Pauline Fayers-Young

March 23, 1932 – April 6, 2022

It is with a great sense of sadness and loss that we announce the passing of Pauline Fayers-Young at the age of 90 on Wednesday,  April 6th, 2022.  Pauline died peacefully with two of her closest friends, Barbara Fisher and Anita Burwash by her side during her final hours.

Pauline was predeceased by her immediate family, including her parents, Marjorie and William Fayers and survived by Marion Langford, a cousin in Australia and several second cousins in the UK, including Susan Coyne, Jane Chaffey, her godson Mike Philliskirk and all of their families.    She will be missed, but not forgotten, by many friends and family with whom she shared a long life of creating many great memories.  Pauline was known for always being active, her love of travel and the outdoors.   From dancing,  camping and canoeing in her early days, to cycling, skiing and painting among many other pastimes.

We wish to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Ryan Pope for all his kind care and attention during the last several years and for home visits during her last couple of weeks to help keep her comfortable.

At Pauline’s request there will be no funeral or celebration of life.  She wished to be cremated with her ashes scattered in the Gatineau Park, given her love of the outdoors.
