It is with broken hearts that the family of Paula Moore announces her passing. Born in 1953, Paula lived a beautiful 72 years.
She has left behind her husband, her best friend, and partner of 57 years, Doug Moore. He was always by her side and took pride in taking care of her.
Cherished Mom of, Matthew Moore (Lindsay) and Rebecca Cavaccuiti (Justin). She was deeply loved by her 4 grandchildren (known as Nanny) Olivia, Ellis, Matteo and Trent. Paula will be deeply missed by her brother Kevin Moore (Shelley).
She is predeceased by her parents, William (Bill) and Isobel Moore.
Paula met her husband at the age of 15 years old at Manotick United Church. In 1975 the two were married in the same church. The bond between Paula and Doug was incredible, their love for one another was known to all. The two were the rock of the family and everyone admired their beautiful marriage.
Paula was a strong, passionate, and deeply loving woman. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to a career in nursing. As a Nurse at CHEO she spent countless hours caring for children, bringing compassion and commitment to every life she touched. She took immense pride in her work and role as a caregiver. For Paula, being a nurse was never just a profession, it was who she was. Even beyond her career, she remained the nurse of our family, always watching over us with quiet strength and unwavering love. She poured her heart and soul into caring for those around her, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Paula was a devoted member of South Gloucester United Church, which was more than a place of worship, but a true spiritual home. Her faith guided her daily life and shaped the way she cared for others. She gave generously through her time, kindness, and quiet acts of service. Her faith was a steady source of strength, reflected in the warmth and sincerity she shared with everyone she met.
Friends may attend a visitation at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars on Thursday, May 21st from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 pm. Memorial service will be held at Manotick United Church, 5567 Manotick Main St., Manotick on Friday, May 22nd at 11 am.
Those wishing may make memorial donations to C.H.E.O or South Gloucester United Church, 2536 Rideau Rd., Ottawa, K1X1A1.
