Paul Gray

After a lengthy illness, Paul Anthony Gray, loving husband, brother, and stepfather passed away peacefully on May 25, 2023, surrounded by family. He was 65. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Stella; brother Desmond; his stepchildren and their spouses Rachel and Michael Ellison and Stuart Parley and Kathryn Barker; and four grandchildren.

Born in 1958 in Dublin, Ireland to George and Veronica Gray (nee Cullen). Paul was the youngest of four siblings: Raymond, Deirdre, and Desmond. A gifted salesman by trade but a true builder at heart, Paul loved to work with his many (many) tools to create, repair or remodel anything and everything in his home or rental property.  This passion culminated in his crowning achievement: designing and building the lake house of his dreams in Lanark Township, which he completed in 2012. Paul will be remembered fondly by all those that knew him for his passion to serve his clients, his cooking skills, his strong ethics, sometimes gruff exterior and always soft heart.

The funeral mass will take place at St. Basil’s Catholic Church, 940 Rex Avenue, Ottawa on Tuesday June 6, 2023 at 2:30pm. Following the mass, friends and family are welcome to attend a reception in Paul’s honor at 1914 Cedarlakes Way, Greely from 4:00 to 6:30pm.
