Patricia (Pat) Muldrew, a beautiful, kind, and fun‑loving soul, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, March 30th, 2026, after a long journey with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was receiving compassionate care at the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice Centre, where her final days were spent in comfort, surrounded by her family and the devoted staff who supported her.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Donald (Don); her three daughters, Shannon and husband Luc, Linda, and Andrea and husband Sean; and her five cherished grandchildren, Liam, Juliet, Avery, Andrew, and Sarah. She will be deeply missed by all of them.
Born in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Patricia grew up in a lively household with her brothers Larry and Bob, and her sister Sharon. Those early years shaped her generous spirit, quick wit, and enduring love of family—qualities she carried throughout her life. Pat met Don while working for the Defence Research Board in Ottawa. She later completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology at Carleton University and a Diploma in Financial Management from Algonquin College, going on to enjoy a successful 25‑year career with the Federal Government.
Retirement opened a new chapter filled with travel, time with her grandchildren and close friends, and countless joyful days at her beloved island cottage on Mississippi Lake, always with Don by her side.
Patricia was the kind of person who made every room brighter. Her laughter was unmistakable, her compassion effortless, and her gift for friendship one of her greatest strengths. Whether sharing a story, offering a helping hand, or finding humour in the everyday, she brought warmth and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She built a life defined by love—for her family, her friends, and the many people whose lives she touched. Her legacy lives on in the kindness she showed, the memories she created, and the strength and love she instilled in those around her.
She will be forever cherished and deeply missed
