Patricia Lucille Chambers

It is with great sadness to announce that Patricia Lucille Chambers (nee Slegtenhorst), passed away suddenly after a long courageous battle with cancer on Friday, September 19th, 2025. She lived life to the fullest, her hospitality knew no bounds, cared for everyone around her and made sure the banana bread was always made.

Patricia was a loving partner to Sunil Menon; daughter to Cornelis and Johanna Slegtenhorst. She was a sister to Joyce Tambay (Alain, Leanna, Danielle), Henry Slegtenhorst (Deborah, Christina, Joey) and preceded by her brother Andrew Slegtenhorst (Jan, Sierra, Skylar, Holden, Dean).

She leaves behind three children Amber Slegtenhorst (Miguel), Isaac (Brian) and Dawn Chambers (Sam).

After retiring from the Public Service, her world revolved around her grandkids Kayla (Eric), Samantha, Sahara, Jahleena, Nehemiah, River, Eliseo, Luciana, and Alejandra. She loved camping with her great grandkids Isaiah, Luca and Sebastian proving she can bake even over a campfire.

Patricia never missed an opportunity to support her family and be their number 1 fan rooting in the stands. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

The family is inviting all who would like to pay respects to the wake being held on Thursday, September 25th, 2025, from 4pm – 7pm at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, located at 403 Richmond Rd., Ottawa, ON (at Roosevelet). A celebration of life, internment and the best potluck ever will be scheduled in the near future.

Donations in lieu of flowers to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Orkidstra, would be greatly appreciated.
