 With great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Nora Sadler at the age of 86. Nora was the beloved wife, partner, and best friend to Leonard for 63 years. Proud Mother to Charles (Linda) and Ronald (Annette). Loving Grandmother to Jessie (Steve) Grainger, Johnston (Kelsea)Walker, Alyssa and Connor. Great Grandmother to Benjamin and Ellen. She leaves behind her sister Marlyn Storey (late Mac). Predeceased by Ileane (William) Cooper and Ivan Gardner (Helen) and Irma Willoughby (David). Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews from the Gardiner and Sadler families. 

Born and raised in Carleton Place, Nora started her teaching career in a one room schoolhouse in Beckwith Township, she then went to Teachers College in Ottawa, and began a career with OCDSB. Nora loved children and was very passionate about her job and family. She also enjoyed spending time at their cottage on the Mississippi Lake with family and friends. After Nora and Leonard retired, they enjoyed traveling. All year she looked forward to their winter getaway in Myrtle Beach for 3 months where they met up with friends from Canada and the USA. 

The family would like to thank Dr Courchene and his staff, and the caring staff at Orchard Walk Retirement Home.

Friends may pay their respects at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Bayshore and Baseline Road) on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Paul’s Cemetery. A reception will follow.  In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Paul's United Church would be appreciated.
