In hospital, due to complications with Covid, on Thursday, September 28, 2023 in his 98^th year.  Beloved husband of the late Margaret "Mabel ".  Dear father of Jean Hanson (Diana Ralph) and Irene Hanson (Donald Cameron).  Loving grandfather of Meghan (Shawn) Ryan, Mairi (Neil) Sasaki; Claire (Greg Saizew), Neil (Erin Gustafsson) and Emily Cameron; and great grandfather of Jamie Gooch, Cameron, Isobel & Maggie Sasaki.

Special thanks to Dr. Lal for her excellent care of Dad for many years, Dr. Murphy and the wonderful and caring nursing staff at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, and Jennifer and Shari at Wildpine Retirement Residence for making Dad's short stay there an enjoyable one.

Friends may attend a visitation at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars on Friday October 6^th from 10 am until time of memorial service in the chapel at 12 pm. followed by a reception.  Interment Rideauvale Cemetery.

Those wishing may make memorial donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or the Humane Society.
