Neil Bays

Peacefully on September 3, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Home, Ottawa. Cherished husband of Barbara and dear father of Diane (Tom Busing) and Eileen (Warren Coutts). Loving grandfather of Hilary (Edward Taylor), Eleanor, Gregory, Evelyn and Geoffrey and great-grandfather of Romilly. Originally from Saskatchewan, Neil was a longtime resident of Oakville, Ontario. A chemical engineer by profession, he spent his career working with BA/Gulf Oil in various cities across Canada. While in Oakville, Neil was an active member of Central Baptist Church, the Solar Energy Society, Toastmasters and the Oakville Probus Club. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff and residents of St Patrick’s Home Ottawa and the Waterford LTC Home Oakville and to Kareen Butler for their loving care, support and companionship. Funer al Service at All Saints’ Westboro, 347 Richmond Road, Ottawa, on Friday, Sept. 16, at 11:00 am . Memorial Donations can be made to the Nature Conservancy of Canada.
