Died peacefully at home on October 30, 2023.
Leaving behind his beloved wife Jean and family, Cameron, Grant(Jeannine), Marni (Alan), Christina, & his grandchildren.
Murray was born in Winnipeg, where during his youth he taught classical accordion and played basketball in the local league.
As a student at the University of Manitoba, he worked in the Arctic, developing a passion for Canada's North which was to last a lifetime and later,
after receiving his BSc in Electrical Engineering, Murray moved to Ottawa to work at the Diefenbunker in Carp, followed by the Iron Ore of Canada in Quebec and Labrador.
In 1967, he moved to study for his MBA at the University of Toronto, where he met his wife Jean. After moving together to Ottawa, he began to work with the Federal Government where he was provided opportunities to travel all over the world and he remained with the Government until he retired.
