The Bull family is saddened to announce the passing of our brother Michael after a brief battle with cancer on Saturday, May 24, 2025. He was 66 years old. Michael was a loving brother to his four sisters, Donna (Ron deceased), Barbara (Dale), Carol, Sandra (Craig) and his six brothers Gordon (deceased), David, Danny, John, Robert, and Ron. Predeceased by his parents Don and Phyllis (Mason) Bull. Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael departed this life with courage, surrounded by love with his siblings and dearest friends holding his hands. Michael grew up and spent his life in the west end (Westboro) and was proud to call Ottawa home. He was kind, generous, easy going and devoted. Michael was hard working and spent his life dedicated to helping family and friends. He was the first person people would call, and the first to offer help, regardless of the work. He loved family gatherings and outings with his many friends. He loved sitting by a fire and enjoying the outdoors. Michael was always the last to bed, only when all the clean up was complete and not a dirty dish in sight!! His passion was sports and he was the biggest fan of the Ottawa Senators and the Ottawa RedBlacks. We will all miss Michael terribly! He was taken from us too soon and he will be dearly missed and held closely in the hearts of his family and friends for the rest of our lives. The family would like to express deep gratitude to the Ottawa Hospital care teams (Civic Campus, General Campus and the West End Villa) for their devoted and professional care.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at the Carleton Tavern (223 Armstrong Ave, at Parkdale) on Tuesday, June 24th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, with words of remembrance at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
