Michael James Buckingham
Born August 30th, 1958, passed April 18th 2022
Michael was born to Anne and George Buckingham. He was predeceased by his father. Michael is survived by his mother, twin brother Paul, older brother Charles(Meg), twin nieces(Katherine(Raj), Erica(Wade), their younger sister Janet and their mother Jackie, his Archibald cousins from Scotland and England, Indigenous family in Nelson House Manitoba, and Western Canada all mourn Michael's passing.

Michael was a delighted Uncle to his nieces. He was proud of his family's long military history in Britain and Canada. He joined the Canadian Navy and often spoke of his experiences traveling around the world. All his life he was curious about other people enjoyed learning about different cultures.

While growing up Michael attended Leslie Park Elementary School, Sir Robert Borden High School and then onto Algonquin College where he studied culinary arts. He was happy surrounded by family and friends. He enjoyed meeting people from a very early age. He continued all his life with a happy nature, he was warm and welcoming to everyone he met. Michael appreciated the world of wilderness and animals. Fishing is what he loved the most. He also enjoyed gardening and had his own plot with his apartment.

Music was an important part of Michael's life. He found that love through his family's love of music. He listened to the Beatles, and Bach and considered them to be of equal quality. He did have a problem as his cats Panda and Nicky extremely disliked his CBC opera broadcast on Saturday afternoon. Panda and Nicky were very quiet and friendly until the opera started and then a truce had to be called.

Michael was such a kind, gentle gentleman who always had empathy and understanding for a troubled friend. We will miss him so much - friends and family alike. He was such a kind man.
