Patricia Ahearn

Patricia (nee McKibbin) Ahearn passed peacefully at home, after a lengthy illness, on May 26, 2023, in her 77th year. Dear mother of Shelagh (Valentine Ifedebe) of Ottawa and Kevin (Melanie Elm) of Whistler BC. Loving and proud grandmother of Jacob, Jordan, and Kaiya. Sister of Michael McKibbin (Vancouver), Tim Mckibbin (Beth)(Almonte), and Heather Trim (Cambridge). Predeceased by her parents Ralph and Lillian McKibbin and bother- in- law Robert Trim. She will also be remembered fondly by her nieces Laura (Tyrell Hurley), Chelsea, nephew Ryan Trim (Joanna), grandnieces, Olivia, Gabby, and Hannah, the Ahearn family, good friends, and colleagues at the Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre (CHEO) where she enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a physiotherapist and Program Administrator before retiring in 2005.

As per Patricia’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. Following cremation, she will be laid to rest at her happy place, the family cottage at Meech Lake.
