Max William Drew

It is with unimaginable sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful three-year-old son, Max, who died peacefully on September 28, 2026, snuggled in bed between his Mummy and Daddy.

Max may have only been with us for three short years, but the mark he left on this world is immeasurable.

Max loved music and could happily spend his time watching Miss Rachel. He absolutely loved being in the water, and bath time was one of his favourite times of the day. He adored his family, and his whole face would light up when he saw the people he loved. But nobody could make him laugh quite like his brother and sister, Finn and Lucy. The bond they shared was incredibly special, and the sound of them laughing together is something we will carry in our hearts forever.

His little body faced more challenges than any child ever should, but those challenges never defined who Max was. He was our beautiful, happy little boy. A cherished son, a much-loved little brother, and the centre of so much of our world.

In his three years, Max taught us more about life than we could ever have taught him. He taught us to find joy in the smallest moments, to be patient when life felt impossible, and to love more deeply than we ever knew we could.

For three years, we wished for Max to be free from the body that so often let him down. We dreamed of seeing him run, play and explore the world without limitations. Although we would give anything to have him back in our arms, there is comfort in imagining that he is finally free—running somewhere beautiful, without pain, without machines and without his wheelchair.

Three years could never have been enough. There was so much more life we wanted for him and so many more memories we wanted to make. But the love Max gave us, and the love we have for him, is bigger than the three years we were given together. That love will last our entire lives.

We will speak his name, tell his stories and make sure his brother and sister always know just how extraordinary their little brother was.

And when we look up at the stars, we will always look for him.

Our beautiful Max. Our greatest teacher. Our brightest star.

Forever three. Forever loved. Forever ours.
