Mary Helena Macdonald

Mary Helena “Helene” MacDonald (née Searson), aged 95, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in Ottawa, Ontario. Helene was born on May 8, 1927, in Douglas (Renfrew), Ontario, to parents Joseph Daniel Searson and Bridget (née McKennirey).  She is predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Donald Bernard “Sam” MacDonald (d. 1999) and eight siblings. She was dearly loved by her late son, Angus Bernard “Bernie” MacDonald (d. 2022), and will be fondly remembered by her children Jeff (Ines Guy) and Robyn (Richard Kuzell). She will be held in the hearts of her grandchildren Lee (Camille), Nathan (Gillian), Sarah, and Philip, five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5th at the Tubman Funeral Home Garden Chapel 3440 Richmond Road, Ottawa. A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, December 6th at 11:00 a.m., at St. Monica Parish, 2080 Merivale Road in Ottawa - followed by a private interment at St. Michael’s Parish Cemetery in Corkery, Ontario.
