Parsons - Mary Athol

1934-2022

Born in rural Nova Scotia, raised in Montreal, lived on the farm in the Ottawa Valley since she was 21, died comfortably at home on December 31st. The only daughter to the late Rev. Prescott and Joy (Husk) Murray. A McGill graduate, married to Basil (deceased) for over sixty years with three children Ian, Susan and Sara, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren now spread around the world.  A bookclub and discussion group member forever, a gardener, seasonal food advocate and always had an answer to the crossword puzzle, enjoyed many many cats and dogs. Forty-five years volunteering with the public library, led classes through the museum, girl guide leader, spinner and weaver using natural dyes, bridge player, a reliable voter in all elections and very proud of her grandchildren. Thank you, Dr. Hovey, for your kindness and the team of home caregivers. No service by request. Do something nice for someone else.
