Marion Elaine Munro

Elaine was a devoted wife of the late Charles Munro (2004).  Born August 12, 1930 in Woodlawn, On. Elaine didn’t go far to begin her life on the farm in Kinburn and start a family with Charlie. Mom enjoyed domestic life, you wouldn’t go hungry at our house, and crafting. Gardening in the warm weather and turning her hand to a wide array of crafts in the winter, after her broomball goalie career, needle work to painting, which she excelled at. Saturdays were cards with friends or out dancing with Dad, her one true passion.

Leaving behind their devoted daughters, Heather Munro (Paul Sheldon), Jan (Doug Whitney), Sandy McEwen (Carl Hisko), Gail (Murray Hawley).

Cherished Grandma to grandchildren and treasured GG to her great-grandchildren.

Elaine was predeceased by her parents Gilmour and Annie, siblings and their spouses, Ross (Edna), Beatrice (Mervyn), Elinor, Hugh (Muriel), Billy (1945).

Predeceased by Charlie’s siblings, John (Viola), Francis (Murray), Myrtle (Art),

Irene (Ray), Irma is survived by Hugh Armstrong, Calgary.

Elaine leaves behind a loving and supportive group of nieces and nephews from both Anderson and Munro families.

Greatly appreciated care and kindness by the wonderful staff of Fairview Manor Almonte.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to Tubman Funeral Homes, Carp, Ontario. Saturday February 3, 2024, Visitation 10 am to 12pm, service in the chapel at 12pm followed by afternoon tea.
