Marilyn Joyce Lindhard

Passed away peacefully at St Vincent Hospital on Wednesday, October 11^th, 2023 with family by her side at the age of 85 years.

Predeceased by her beloved husband and soulmate Svend Erik (Rick) Lindhard of more than 30 years.  She was treasured by her partner Tony Diorio with whom she shared travels, sunshine in winter and simple joys of life during her 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.

Lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lisa and son-in-law, JP, grandchildren Dane, Elena and Camille, her brother-in-law Knud Lindhard and the Lindhard family of Denmark, cousin Rick Cathcart and family as well as many beloved friends.

Marilyn had a passion for nursing and received her diploma from the Ottawa Civic Hospital in 1962.  She loved music, choir singing and spending time with her friends and family.  She was extremely proud of her grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to share their life successes.

Special thanks to Dr. Tara Jennings and Registered Nurse Johnson Thomas for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held at Tubman Funeral Home at 115 Rivington Street, Carp, Ontario (Canada) on Monday, October 16^th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Tuesday October 17^th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, funeral will be held at Christ Church, Carp, Ontario at 11:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
