It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marie St. Jacques (née Szcyrek) at home in Stittsville on Monday February 22, 2021. Beloved wife of Peter St. Jacques for more than 60 years, and loving mother of three sons: Chris (Jantine), Peter, and Shawn (Serena). Cherished grandmother of Kieran, Alea, and Eliza. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Bertha and brother Walt. Sister of Ed (Faye) and Janet.
Born in Sault Ste. Marie, she married and raised her three boys there before moving with Peter to Ottawa in 1990. A member of the Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Parish, she doted on her grandchildren and was a friendly neighbour.
Fiercely proud of her sons, she will be most remembered for her kindness and friendliness to all.
