Maria Koenen

Maria (Puck) Johanna Koenen, born October 18, 1932, passed away peacefully on December 5th, 2022. Maria leaves behind her two children Robert (Malinda)and Marietta (Scott) along with her grandchildren Justin and Taylor.

She was born in The Netherlands, Den Haag, and came to Ottawa, Canada in her young 20’s. In Canada, she met my Dad, William Koenen, also from The Netherlands, Rotterdam. From there, they married and built their family. She was the sweetest, kindest, caring and loving mother. She loved being outdoors, and she loved animals, music, boating, swimming, biking, and always spending time with our Dad taking road trips here and there.  Her kindness and humor were so special to us and others who knew our Mom. She is no longer suffering and is at peace… best of all…. she is back with the love of her life….We love you Mom XOXOX
