We are heartbroken to announce the sudden unexpected death of Maria Grace-Dimitrova on Friday August 12, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Hristo and devoted mum of Catrin and Elitza. Born 1958 in Fishguard Wales to Mary Doyle and the late Ken Grace (April 2022). Her twin sister Ingrid (Fishguard), Jenny (California), and brothers George (Bristol) and Jonathan (Shrewsbury) are deeply saddened. Her nieces and nephews in the UK and US will miss her dearly.

She was the cherished nanny for two families here in Canada before she joined first, a catering business and then several restaurants as a chef. She started a home based daycare when her daughters were born. She spent the next 25 years providing care to the little ones and their families who deeply loved and respected her. She was a connector, opening her house, fridge, oven and heart to all whom she met. She welcomed people into her home with true Welsh hospitality in an unassuming, authentic and loving way, always ensuring that your stomach and heart were filled.

Cremation and a private family funeral has taken place.
